In 1995, CISS introduced Individualized Day Services (IDS) in North Vancouver based on the Port Coquitlam program of the same name. IDS-North Vancouver initially served a single individual, but since then has grown significantly, providing support to numerous adults with disabilities across the North Shore.
With a high staff-to-individual ratio, we ensure a program that meets each person’s unique needs, interests, and goals. Through activities such as volunteering, paid employment, life skills building, and recreational activities, individuals are encouraged to build connections and gain independence in the community to the fullest extent possible.
