What Is Community Inclusion?
Community Inclusion is a person-centered service that supports adults with developmental disabilities to participate fully in their communities in a meaningful way. Rather than being based in a single location, support takes place directly within the community, helping people build skills, form connections, and pursue activities that reflect their interests and goals.
At CISS, our Community Inclusion services are flexible and individualized. We work alongside each person to develop short and long term goals based on their strengths, needs, and aspirations. Those in the program participate in ventures such as skill building workshops, volunteering, working towards/obtaining employment, and community recreational activities.
